Escapism Gone Great

#HAWMC Day 12: Day of Rest

Kick your feet up! What is your ideal day in? When you’re having a bad day, or a long week – how do you relax, recharge, and reset yourself?

*blinks*

What is this…this “rest”…that you speak of??

I know, I know…just kidding.

*shifty eyes*

Let’s preface the post by saying that last week was a really shitty week. The week prior to last week was so shitty, if I could erase it from the calendar in its entirety, I would.

So. Bad day. Long week. 5:30AM daycare dropoffs. Day in…GO!

[two hours later]

Um, okay, I’ve got one:

Minecraft.

No, really. I know all the younglings play it, but I started to play it and holyfeckerdoodles the level of escapism is more profound than studying the Cosmos.

My ideal day in? Two television screens: One for playing Minecraft while my science shows play on the other.

Haagen Dazs.

Or, alternatively…NAV CENTRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

What’s Nav Centre, you ask?

Just a weekend away from all things Ottawa and people, to go to Nav Centre with some friends and we scrapbook the entire fucking weekend.

Best part? No kids. No cleaning. No husband.

Bestest part? No cooking, no cleaning and hot food on a regular schedule that I don’t have to share.

Favourite-est part?? Hotel room to myself. With lil’ feckin’ shampoos and soaps’n’shit.

😀
